Prasant Nukalapati (Oakland, CA)
Program Manager for the Northwest Region, received his BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago and is currently working on his MA degree in Asian American Studies at San Francisco State University. Prior to joining A Better Chance, Prasant was a History and English classroom teacher and coach at the middle school and high school level in independent schools for nine years. A longtime advocate of families of color in independent schools, he has organized and presented at numerous workshops and conferences on issues central to their experience in schools. Prasant currently sits on the Board of the Asian Educator Alliance, of which he is a founding member.
