A Better Chance Alum Raising Money One Step At A Time

Robert Reffkin (San Francisco University High School '97) has made the commitment to run 50 marathons, 1 in every state in the United States, with the goal to raise $1,000,000 over the next 8-10 years.   The money he raises will benefit several organizations that provided expanded educational opportunities and helped him to broaden his horizons when he was a youth. He has chosen A Better Chance as one of these organizations. To show his gratitude and to encourage giving back, he is using what he has been given, his health and physical stamina, his abilities and connectedness with others, to reach out to young people and to give them a hand.

Robert will kick off his marathon tour on December 1, 2007 by running the Death Valley Marathon in Death Valley, CA followed by the Miami Marathon on January 27, 2008.

If you would like to help Robert in raising $1,000,000, please fill out the form below to make a donation to A Better Chance for every race that he runs. Your support will help to keep him focused by knowing that each step run will help young people to help themselves.

Look out for Robert Reffkin! We will post the dates and locations of his future marathons so if you'd like to be a spectator and cheer him on or even participate in the marathons, check back at our website for more information.
