A Better Chance Wins Members Project

On March 2, 2011, TakePart and American Express announced A Better Chance as the winner of the Education category of the last round of Members Project, an online voting competition to help people everywhere support the causes they care about.

As the first place organization, A Better Chance will receive a $200,000 grant from American Express. This funding will help sustain our College Preparatory Schools Program, which supports about 2,000 currently-enrolled Scholars annually. 

We are proud of what we were able to accomplish as a community, and would like to thank everyone who voted for us consistently throughout the competition. Your support reminds us of the importance of being a part of a larger movement, working together towards a common goal of promoting educational access in America.
