Better Chance

Maritsa Cholmondeley (New York, NY)

Maritsa is the Senior Manager of Individual Giving and Alumni Relations at A Better Chance.  She is originally from Santa Barbara, CA and now resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Prior to joining A Better Chance, she was a Major Gifts Officer at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).  In that capacity, Maritsa planned cultivation events, crafted funding proposals, researched prospects, and built and maintained individual donor relationships.  Before her tenure at the NAACP, Maritsa worked for the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation and the East Harlem School at Exodus House, an independent middle school for children from low-income families.  She first learned about A Better Chance when she attended Cate School, an A Better Chance Member School in California.

Maritsa serves on the Board of Diaspora Community Services, an organization providing essential health and supportive programs to low-income and immigrant families in Central Brooklyn.  She is a graduate of Columbia University.
