The 2012 A Better Chance Awards took place on Friday, June 1 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The event honored a leader who exemplifies A Better Chance’s vision that talent, when nurtured and supported, can accomplish great things despite humble beginnings. This year, Kenneth I. Chenault, Chairman and CEO of American Express, was awarded the Chairman’s Award. We also celebrated the accomplishments of this year’s award-winning Scholars from across the country, who represent the nearly 2,000 currently enrolled students in the program.
