Regina Jolly Espenschied (Hudson, OH)
Program Manager for the Midwest Region has over 20 years of experience in education directing and implementing youth programs in the areas of college access, community-building, human relations, and college admissions.
Prior to accepting this position at A Better Chance, Regina was the Operations Manager for the NASA 2010 Summer of Innovation Pilot Project designed by Paragon TEC, providing hands-on learning experiences to more than 4600 students across the country in six states (OH, CA, FL, IL, MI, and PA) and encouraging the pursuit of post-secondary education. Before joining the NASA 2010 Summer of Innovation Pilot Project, Regina held several positions focused on helping underrepresented students gain access to educational opportunities. She served as the Program Director for the National Conference working with middle and high school students from 60 schools in Northeast Ohio. She left there to become the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Case Western Reserve University where she managed special recruitment and retention efforts for students of color. Ms. Jolly-Espenschied moved from admissions to pre-college programs when she served as the Assistant Director of the Upward Bound program at Case Western Reserve University.
Ms. Espenschied holds dual bachelor degrees in History and Psychology from Case Western Reserve University.
