A Better Chance is excited to announce a brand new virtual monthlong series, Creating Leaders for a Lifetime. This event was created in response to the cancellation of our Annual Awards Luncheon and will consist of three components, the Alumni Showcase, Virtual Auction and Virtual Luncheon. We invite you to join us this September & October as we honor and recognize our Scholars, Alumni and closest partners.

Alumni ShowcaseSeptember 15 - October 13

The Creating Leaders for a Lifetime Alumni Showcase will bring together our most prominent Alumni for unique and engaging live online content. During the events, panels of experts will convene to educate and entertain our community in topics such as Entrepreneurship, Philanthropy, the Arts and more. Their knowledge and experiences will inspire the next generation of leaders of color in our society.

Panel details and sessions will be released as they are available.

Virtual AuctionOctober 5 - 12

The cancellation of the 2020 A Better Chance Annual Awards Luncheon created a $1 million fundraising gap. These funds are necessary to execute our crucial programming that prepares our students for the Member School admissions process. To help fund these crucial activities, we are holding the Creating Leaders for  a Lifetime Virtual Auction from October 5 - 12. The auction will feature high-end and luxurious prizes from A Better Chance Alumni, supporters and partners.

Virtual LuncheonOctober 9

The Creating Leaders for a Lifetime Virtual Luncheon replaces the canceled 2020 A Better Chance Annual Awards Luncheon and ensures we can recognize the successes of our Scholars, Alumni and Honorees. The 45-minute program will feature appearances from our Scholar Award Recipients and honorees.
